Make Instagram fit for new features: An update helps
To get the most out of Instagram and enjoy new features, you just have to do one thing. We show you the easiest way to update.
Instagram’s popularity is increasing, not least because the app has expanded its features and functionality over time more and more.
In order to always be up to date, but also to avoid mistakes and quirks, not much is needed. You just have to install the latest Instagram update. How easy and fast that is done for Android and iOS, you can find out here.
Install Instagram Update on Android
If you have an Android device, you can easily download the latest version of Instagram from the Google Play Store or your device settings. In both cases, you can also check in a first step, if you are not even already up to date.
Under the settings you will find the option “Apps”. There you choose Instagram.
If an Instagram update is available for installation, you will see the option “Update”.
Next to the logo you will also find your current version number.
In the Google Play Store:
Open the Google Play Store on your smartphone and tap the three-bar menu on the top left.
Under the option “My Apps and Games” you will also find Instagram.
There is either the time when the last Instagram update has been made or the “Refresh” option to the right.
To make your app updates always run automatically, it’s best to make a small change to the Google Play Store. To do this, go back to the three-bar menu in the upper left corner and select “Settings”. There you can specify under “Automatic App Updates” if and how you want to allow them.
Instagram update on the iPhone
Of course, Instagram can be upgraded effortlessly on iOS. The steps are quite similar to the update installation on Android:
Go to the App Store on your iPhone and tap on “Updates” in the lower right corner. If some are ready, this will already be signaled by a red hint.
If this also exists for Instagram, you will see the button “Update” next to the icon of the app.
In both cases you should always make sure to install the Instagram update when you are in the WLAN. Mobile data is often used up quite quickly because of the size of the update files.
